Building a stronger community together...
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,
As-Salam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu
First we thank Allah (SWT) for His several blessings on us as individuals and all of us together as a community and as an ummah.
Alhamdulillah that we have an institution where we can come together as a community. Only a couple of years ago we used to gather in a place that was a converted garage of an old house. There was only place to accommodate just a small part of the community. Now we have a true institution that provides essential services to the Muslim community. This institution is the fruit of the collective efforts by the pioneering members of the community, who took an initiative, made themselves count and Allah (SWT) blessed the efforts. Together, no problem is difficult and no goal is beyond our reach.
Alhamdulillah we have around 200 families living in the vicinity of the Islamic Center. To establish a sustainable institution we can all chip in a little and Insha Allah collectively Allah(SWT) gives the Baraka in it.
Allah (SWT) likes most the deed that is done consistently no matter how small. If each family in the community makes itself count and contributes as little as $84 a month which comes out $21 a week, together we'll have enough to take our institution to the next level without the need for any fundraising in the future. This would help support and prosper our community institution in the services it provides today as well as for the future. But most importantly it shows our commitment to the cause of Allah(SWT) in this world and an important investment in our portfolio for the Akhira.
I invite you to come participate in helping the community achieving its goal of establishing a sustainable Islamic institution. We will InshaAllah be looking forward to your commitment. To help you can fill out a pledge card for your on going commitment. Together we can sustain this institution, protect the future of the community and take this institution to the next level.
We end by reminding ourselves of the promise of Allah Ar-Rahman (Surah Rahman 55:60):
هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ
Translation: Is there any reward for good other than good?
Let's show our commitment to the good, the cause of Allah in our community. With a little commitment from each one of us together we will InshaAllah achieve our goals.
Jazak Allah Khair for your commitment
